I'm back!!
I haven't worked on my blog in quite a while so I don't even know if anyone is reading it anymore, but I'll post some stuff anyhow. I'm really going to try and make an effort to keep this up!!
A lot has happened since I last worked on this site. Evi and Wyatt were just here for about 5 days. They went home earlier then I wanted them to, but I was having some back issues and was in a little pain, but with a couple trips to the chiropractor, I'm all better now, so maybe they'll come back before the summer's over.
John has been very busy with all his "honey do's" around here. Our laundry room is all finished!!! Brandon came over a couple of weeks ago and helped his dad put our pond in. I absolutely love it!! Yesterday we bought some plants for it. John and I spend most of our time on the patio during the summer months. So if company drops in they usually know where to find us. Some warm weather, our patio, a brewsky in hand and let me tell you, life doesn't get much better then that!! (only if good friends or family stop by--that is.)
Speaking of good friends, Barb and Norm invited us to stay with them at a time share condo in central Oregon called Eagle Crest Resort. We stayed two nights and had a great time! The resort is beautiful. It's located in Redmond Oregon near Sisters. I've never stayed in that part of Oregon before so it was quite a treat. We were sitting on the deck one afternoon when deer came right up looking for a "hand-out". One morning Barb and I went to the spa and got a massage---WOW, talk about totally relaxing. After our massages we all got in the car and drove to Sisters to do some shopping and eating. Love that town!! Lots of neat little gift shops. That evening in Redmond, we went to a restaurant called the "Feed Company." What a cool rustic-looking place. We ate dinner in the saloon. When you order dinner the first thing they bring to your table is a big plate of onion rings as an appetizer, followed by a salad & bread then your dinner comes with a pot beans and a cast iron skillet full of fried potatoes for the whole table. For dessert you get your choice of a liquer or a sasparella float. John had the float and the rest of us had a liquer of our choice. Then on Friday John and I got up early and drove to Yakima. It was Evi's last dance recital of the year--I'll be posting pictures--but we might have been too far away to see much. Then on Saturday morning John and I got up early and came back home as we were having a get together at our place. My buddy Nancy just turned 60 and also retired from her state job, so I wanted to have a little celebration for her. I need to sign off now and see if John needs help as he's laying beauty bark around our trees. I'll keep in touch
